Department of Social Welfare Women & Child Development Observed International Day for persons with Disabilities

Chandigarh, 3 rd  December 2018:  The Department of Social Welfare Women & Child Development observed International Day for persons with Disabilities at Government Rehabilitation Institute of Intellectual Disability today. Secretary Social Welfare, Sh. B L Sharma distributed the Unique Disability Identity Cards to the persons with disabilities. Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of persons with Disabilities, New Delhi has launched a project called Unique disability Identity Card for Disabled (UDID). Chandigarh, 23rd November 2018:  In partial modification of order issued and in compliance of the judgement dated 31.10.2018 of the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, in the case CM-16484-2018 in CWP-23548-2017, Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, I.A.S., District Magistrate, Chandigarh, exercising the power/authority vested under Section 144 of the Cr.P.C., do hereby orders as following: - 1. The bursting of firecrackers and display of fire-works within the territorial limits of U.T., Chandigarh, shall be allowed between 08:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. only on Diwali or any other festivals. 2. Kirron Kher Inaugurates Chandigarh Carnival 2018

Chandigarh, 23rd November, 2018: The most awaited annual event of the City Beautiful, the Chandigarh Carnival 2018 was today inaugurated by Smt. Kirron Kher, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, at leisure Valley Chandigarh in the presence of Sh.
