Voter Awareness Programme organized under SVEEP programme at Government Museum & Art Gallery

Chandigarh, 15th May, 2019: To maximize voter participation on 19 May in Chandigarh, a Voter Awareness Programme was organized today by Election Department under SVEEP Programme at Government Museum and Art Gallery, Chandigarh. The Chief Guest during the occasion was Smt. Monimala Phokan Borthakur, IAS, General Observer for Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency. The programme saw active participation from children of various Government Schools who participated in the programme to spread the good word of voting. The programme commenced with Rangoli & Poster making competition, wherein students of various schools showcased their talent via beautiful rangolis & posters that had messages of voting. Mega Voter Awareness event organized at New Lake, sector-42 Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 11th May 2019: Department of Tourism in collaboration with Election Department Chandigarh today organized a Mega Voter Awareness event at the New Lake, sector-42, Chandigarh. The event was a part of the SVEEP program which was graced by the presence of Sh.Ajoy Kumar Sinha, IAS, Chief Electoral Officer, Sh. Vivek Dahiya, SVEEP Ambassador for Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency and other senior officers of Chandigarh Administration. The voter awareness event attracted huge  gathering of children, adults and senior citizens at the New Lake. Chief Electoral Officer launches the Election song for Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 6th May 2019: In an endeavour to boost electoral participation among the residents of Chandigarh, under the SVEEP program, Sh. Ajoy Kumar Sinha, IAS, Chief Electoral Officer, Chandigarh today launched the Election song for Chandigarh ideated by the SVEEP team for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2019.  The song is sung by renowned Chandigarh based music artist, Aksh Bagla who is also the SVEEP ambassador for Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency. The uniqueness of this song is that it is in an acappella format with no musical instruments used in the entire composition. The artist has only used his vocals for creating the music for the entire song. Voter Awareness Campaign organized at Sukhna Lake

Chandigarh, 4th May 2019: Department of Tourism in collaboration with Election Department organized a mega voter awareness event at Sukhna Lake today. The event was a part of the SVEEP program which was attended by Smt. Monimala Phukan Borthakur,IAS, General Observer, Sh.Ajoy Kumar Sinha, Chief Electoral Officer and other other senior officers of Chandigarh Administration. The voter awareness event attracted huge gathering at the Sukhna Lake. The event began with the flagging off of Hop on Hop off bus which went around the city carrying different election messages to motivate all voters. The officials also released helium baloons carrying voting messages, and also took a round of the lake in the Cruise which was decorated with creatives carrying messages to educate and motivate the voters. Workshop on Introduction of Rota-virus vaccine in the Universal Immunization Programme

Chandigarh, 2nd May, 2019 : A two days Regional Training of Trainers workshop started in Chandigarh today on Introduction of Rotavirus vaccine in the Universal Immunization Programme. In the regional workshop, senior Government Health Officials from States of Chandigarh, Punjab, Andaman & Nicobar Island, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Lakshadweep and Uttarakhand and representatives from Immunization partner agencies like World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, UNDP, Global Health Strategies, JSI and others are also participating in the workshop.   Dr. G.
