Health Department, Chandigarh starts orientation of health functionaries on Rotavirus vaccine

Chandigarh, 27th June, 2019: Training of Health Functionaries on Rotavirus vaccine has been started today at State Institute of Health & Family Welfare, Government Multispecialty Hospital, Sector 16, Chandigarh. The participants of the training were Medical Officers, LHVs and ANMs. Training of zone one and two has been completed today with station sessions where the participants were divided into 4 groups of equal members to make the sessions more interactive.  Health Department, UT Chandigarh is going to introduce Rotavirus vaccine (RVV) in Routine Immunization Schedule from July, 2019 onwards. Rotavirus vaccine will be provided free of cost under Universal Immunization Programme (UIP). It has been in use by private practitioners for several years. Rotavirus is a highly contagious virus and makes thousands of babies and young children sick every year. “The Punjab Protection of Medical Services Persons and Medicare Services Institutions (Preventions of Violence and Damage of Property)” Act 2008- Adoption in U.T. Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 24 th June 2019:  The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sh.V.P. Singh Badnore Hon’ble Governor of Punjab cum Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh with the President & representatives of the Indian Medical Association, Chandigarh Chapter in the presence of Principal Secretary Home cum Health Secretary, Director General of Police and Director Health Services, U.T. Chandigarh. The following recommendations were accepted:- The Punjab Protection of Medical Services Persons and Medicare Services Institutions (Preventions of Violence and Damage of Property)” Act 2008 will be recommended to the Ministry of Home, Govt. of India for its approval and applicability in U.T. Additional Deputy Commissioner takes review meeting of Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana

Chandigarh, 21st June 2019:  A review meeting of Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana was held under the chairmanship of Sh. Sachin Rana, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh with the officials of Implementing Support Agency (ISA). The Agency officials shared that as of now golden records 29668 beneficiaries from 8538 families have been generated against the targeted data of 23678 families that comprises around 1 lakh individual beneficiaries. In U.T. Chandigarh, 10 private and 5 government hospitals are empanelled under this scheme. Till now, cashless health care services worth Rs. 73.90 lakh have been provided to the U.T. beneficiaries through these Empanelled Health Care Providers. The Agency has set up Arogya Mitra counters at all secondary level government hospitals for golden record generation and issuance of scheme card to the listed families. Concluding day of Art & Design Workshop for the children of Snehalaya, Maloya, Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 19th June 2019:  Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) in collaboration with Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy, Chandigarh organised Clay Modelling workshop on the Concluding day of Art & Design Workshop for the children of Snehalaya, Maloya, Chandigarh. On the concluding ceremony, Sh. Bheem Malhotra, President, Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy, Chandigarh was the chief guest. Senior Artist of Tricity, Ms Gurmeet Goldie and Sh. Kamal were also present.  Sh. Sanjeet Kumar and Ms. Jyoti, Young Sculptors of Tricity were the resource persons for the event. Two days Art & Design Workshop organized for the children of Snehalaya, Maloya, Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 18th June 2019,  Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) in collaboration with Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy, Chandigarh has organised Two days Art & Design Workshop for the children of Snehalaya, Maloya, Chandigarh. Today, the workshop was inaugurated by Sh. Bheem Malhotra, President, Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy, Chandigarh in the presence of Ms. Harjinder Kaur, Chairperson, CCPCR. Senior Artist of Tricity Sh. Ravinder Sharma, Ms. Gurmeet Goldie and Sh. Kamal were also present.  The students of Chandigarh College of Architecture Ms. Arpita & Richa Katoch were the resource persons for the event. Chandigarh Draw for allotment of Flats

Chandigarh, 18 th June 2019 : A computerized draw was conducted on 18.06.2019 for allotment of 52 dwelling units’ small flats under Slum Rehabilitation Programme at Maloya Housing complex. The eligibility of the applicant was recommended by the Estate Office of the Chandigarh Administration. Another computerized draw was conducted for 02 applicants of the Oustee Scheme under which both the applicant got dwelling units at Sector-63. To maintain transparency, both the computerized draws were held in presence of applicants and under the supervision of senior officers of UT Administration as independent judges.
