Film Festival in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 5th February, 2016:- The Chandigarh Administration is organizing Children’s Film Festival on 17th & 18th February 2016. The festival will be organized in the cinema/ multiplex cinema theatres.

Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, District Magistrate said that the, “Movies related to Children would be screened during the festival. This children’s Film Festival will cater to more than 6500 students of various govt. schools and the schools/orphanages of Chandigarh. The festival will be free of cost for children. The D.C. Chd. also added that movies would be screened in all 29 screens of Chandigarh. The D.C. also added that this would be a yearly feature to organize Children Film Festival in Chandigarh.  He further added that the DPI (S) has been asked to ensure that proper transportation is arranged for the students of various schools.


The film festival will be inaugurated by H.E. Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor Punjab & Haryana and Administrator U.T Chandigarh on 17th February 2016 and Sh. Vijay Dev, IAS, Advisor to the Administrator would preside over at the closing ceremony of the same.
