Inspection in SDM (E) Jurisdiction

Chandigarh, 6th February, 2016: Under the aegis of Ms. Tapasya Raghav, IAS, Sub Divisional Magistrate (East), U.T, Chandigarh team of Excise & Vat Inspectors, Fire Safety Officers, Health Officers, Estate Office Staff, Sanitary Inspectors, Civil Defense Team and Food and Supply Inspectors and Local Police conducted inspection in the respective area of Sector 26. 

Total 11 SCO’s were inspected by the team, wherein many violations were found by them. To name a few, most of the SCO’s were not having any disaster preparedness as no one was able to produce evacuation plan to the team members, also no one was able to produce NOC issued from the Fire Safety Office.

Further, four improvement notices were served and one prohibition notice was also served by the Health Officer to the SCO’s.  One of the SCO was challaned for carrying out its services without Food License.  2 challans were served to the SCO’s by the excise team. During inspection, samples were taken from the SCO’s which were running Hookah Bars and were sent to the CFSL for further analysis.

Public Camp Chandigarh, 28 January, 2016 :-  It is for the information of the general public that the public camp for 29/01/2016 is to be held at community centre of Sector 45. The sectors covered in the camp would be Sector 44, 45 including burial Village, 46 and 33 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 AM.
