Concluding day of the Yoga Orientation Programme

Chandigarh, 16 th   May, 2016:   The Concluding day of the   Yoga Orientation Programme for masters today saw participation by experts from various Yoga Organizations like Patanjali Yogpeeth, Art of Living ,  Isha Foundation,   Brahmrishi Yoga training college, Chandigarh Yog Sabha, Yoga Federation of India, Yog Vidya Maha Samiti, Friends of Yoga, Bharti Yog Sansthan etc.   More than 800 yoga trainers participated today in the   Orientation programme . Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh and Sh. Amit Talwar, PCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, U.T. Chandigarh along with other officials of the Chandigarh Administration were also present during the orientation programme. Fourth Day of the Yoga Orientation programme

Chandigarh, 15 th  May, 2016: More than 800 Yoga trainers participated in t he fourth day of the Yoga Orientation programme held at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium today. Sh. Amit Talwar, PCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, U.T. Chandigarh along with other officials of the Chandigarh Administration were present during the orientation programme. Experts of various Yoga Organizations like Patanjali Yog Peeth,   Art of Living ,  Isha Foundation,   Brahmrishi Yoga training college, Chandigarh Yog Sabha, Yoga Federation of India, Yog Vidya Maha Samiti, Friends of Yoga, Bharti Yog Sansthan etc have been attending the orientation Programme for last three days. The Orientation programme has been extended for one more day and will take place on 16 th May 2016 at the same venue.

National Lok Adalat Disposes 6606 Cases Today

Chandigarh, 14 th May, 2016: National Legal Services Authority under the visionary Leadership of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Anil R. Dave, Judge Supreme Court of India organized National Lok Adalat at all levels from Sub-Division level Courts to the Hon’ble Supreme Court today.  The National Lok Adalat was  organized in the District Court, Chandigarh under the able guidance of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sh. Shiavax Jal Vazifdar, the Acting Chief Justice, Punjab and Haryana High Court and Patron-in-Chief,   State Legal Services Authority, U.T. Chandigarh,   Hon'ble Mr. Justice Surya Kant, Executive Chairman, State Legal Services Authority, Chandigarh and Hon’ble Mr. Justice M. Jeyapaul, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Administrative Judge, Chandigarh Sessions Division. Preparations for 2nd International Yoga Day on 21st June to be held in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 14 th  May, 2016:  The Third Day of the Yoga Orientation programme today saw participation of more than 800 yoga trainers. Sh. National Lok Adalat to be Held On 14th May 2016

Chandigarh, 13th May, 2016 : District Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh, is organizing monthly National Lok Adalat at District Court Complex on 14 th May 2016, as per directions of the National Legal Services Authority, 12 benches have been constituted. The cases under the Motor Accident claims and Insurance Claims as well as Traffic Challans shall be taken up in this monthly National Lok Adalat starting from 9:30 A.M. People from general public have been asked to avail maximum benefits from the monthly National Lok Adalat.

Launch of “Mobile Anganwadi Van”

Chandigarh, 12 th May, 2016: The Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child Development in another initiative today launched the “ Mobile Anganwadi Van ” which has been converted into an Anganwadi Centre. The Van was flagged off by Smt. Bhawana Garg, IAS, Secretary Social Welfare, Women & Child Development along with Smt. Nishu Singal, HCS, Director Social Welfare, Women & Child Development . Commenting during the launch, Smt. Nishu Singal, HCS, Director Social Welfare, Women & Child Development said that the Anganwadi centre will cater to the needs of the Children of Labour Class near PGI construction site and the Van would be stationed at the site.
