Chandigarh, 3 rd June, 2016: Chandigarh Health Department in Collaboration with Gynae. deptt. PGIMER, Max hospital and UCO Bank is going to organize free Health Camp at Civil Dispensary, Dhanas on 4 th June 206(Saturday) from 8.00 AM onwards. Seeing success of previous two Health Camps held at Daddu Majra and Maulijagran, this time also Doctors from various specialities like Medicine, Gynae., Skin and ENT will be examining patients and will be provided with free medicines. Health promotion and awareness generation regarding prevention, timely detection and management of Non Communicable diseases will be the main highlight of the screening camp.

Chandigarh, 1 st June, 2016: Carico Della Fondazione La Biennale Di Venezia organized 15 th International Architecture Exhibition at Venice, Italy from 25 th May, 2016 to 27 th November, 2016 where Rock Garden, Chandigarh was also invited to participate and display its design and architecture. The 88 participants from different countries participated in the event and Rock Garden at Chandigarh had been selected one of them from India. The beautiful model of Rock Garden made of Fiber glass had been exhibited in the exhibition in an area of 18 meter x 6 meter. The world famous and highest Pritzker Architecture award winner Mr. Alejandro Aravena was the art director of the exhibition. Chandigarh, May 29 th , 2016:   The Sub National Immunization Day Pulse Polio campaign covering high risk areas of Chandigarh is scheduled on 29 th   & 30 th   May 2016. In the two days activity as per the previous rounds, the children upto the age of 5years are given Oral Polio Drops. These doses are in addition to OPV drops and Injectable IPV given in the routine vaccination .The aim is to cover the children in 0-5years age group, living in slums, construction sites, settled slums and the nomads with the objective to strengthen their immunity against Polio. As a part of this campaign, the Medical Officers are doing direct supervision in their area with the help of the Teams comprising of ASHA, Anganwadi workers, malaria workers, ANMs, Nursing students and the local volunteers.  On day One of SNID, the teams have covered 86080 houses and have vaccinated 37561 children with oral polio drops. Chandigarh, May 28 th , 2016:  The  Art of Living, Chandigarh Chapter today organized a free yoga session in co-ordination with the Chandigarh Administration and The Department of Social Welfare, Women and Child Development for rickshaw pullers of the city at Rose Garden from 6-7 am. The camp has been organized for the first time in the city with an initiative towards uplifting the health and the mind of all the sections of the society. More than 20 Rickshaw pullers have registered till date for the 2 nd  International Day of Yoga to be held at Capitol Complex on 21 st  June 2016. On 28 th  May 2016, 22 Rickshaw pullers attended the special camp at the Rose Garden. The camp will be conducted in Rose Garden till Monday following which these Rickshaw pullers will attend the camps in their respective residing areas. Sh. Madan, The Union Head of the Rickshaw Pullers has himself initiated and motivated these individuals.
