The Government Museum and Art Gallery, Chandigarh awarded a Getty Foundation grant

Chandigarh, 8 th  August, 2017: The Government Museum and Art Gallery, Chandigarh has ​ been awarded a ​ Getty Foundation grant of US Dollar 150,000/- for the preparation of a Conservation Management Plan for the future management framework. The Getty Foundation fulfils the philanthropic mission of the J. Paul ​ Getty Trust by supporting individuals and institutions committed to advancing the greater understanding and preservation of the visual arts in Los Angeles and throughout the world. Through strategic grant initiatives, the Foundation strengthens art history as a global discipline, promotes the interdisciplinary practice of conservation, increases access to museum and archival collections, and develops current and future leaders in the visual arts. Two hours closure of RLA on account of Raksha Bandhan

Chandigarh, 4 th August, 2017: -  It is for the information of the general public that the office of Registering & Licensing Authority, Sector-17, Chandigarh will remain close for two hours on i.e. 07.08.2017 on account of Raksha Bandhan and the office will open at 11:00 a.m.                                                                         

Free Travel Facility for Women on “Raksha Bandhan Day”

Chandigarh, 4 th August, 2017: -  The UT Administration has decided to provide free travel facility to women in all local AC and Non-AC CTU buses on “Raksha Bandhan” , which falls on August 07 this year. The facility, however, will not be available on long route CTU buses.   Chandigarh Transport provided this facility in 2015 first time and is extending the same this year also third time in a row.   Through this gesture, UT Administration extends its support and exhibits its commitment to provide service delivery and to facilitate the Chandigarh citizens, on the eve of ‘Raksha Bandhan’.

Celebrations of Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday
