Chandigarh Celebrates Kala Utsav-2018

Chandigarh, 15 th  November 2018:   Chandigarh celebrated the first event of the State Level Kala Utsav-2018, Solo Dance Competition today at Bhawan Vidyalaya, Sector-27, Chandigarh. The Chief Guest of the event was Smt. Bhawana Garg, I.A.S, Deputy Director General U.I.D.A.I. (Unique Identification Authority of India). 14 Govt. /Govt. Aided /Private Schools participated with full enthusiasm and vigour. The Judges for the event were Guru Yogesh Sharma, Kathak Artist, Jaipur Gharana, Smt. Rachna, Kathak Artist and Preetpal Singh Sodhi, Professional Folk Artist. The Judges critically evaluated each and every performance as per the guidelines specified by MHRD/NCERT and gave their decision. The aim of the event was to help the students to explore, understand and display their artistic talents which further gives them an opportunity to understand and celebrate cultural diversity at school, district, state and national level. CEO CREST Holds Meeting with Chamber of Chandigarh Industries and Hotel and Restaurant Association of Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 14 th  November 2018:  A meeting was held with the Chamber of Chandigarh Industries and Hotel and Restaurant Association of Chandigarh in the office of CEO CREST, where the present members of the chamber were made aware about the deadline set for mandatory installation of Solar Power Plants i.e 17 th  November 2018. Various environmental and monetary benefits of solar installation at Hotels and industries were explained to the members of the chambers. During the discussion it was informed that 74 nos. of Industrial Establishments and 3 nos. of Hotels have already applied for installation of Solar at their premises. The associations were requested to take necessary actions, so that other members of their chambers may also register and install solar at their premises. Chandigarh, 14th November 2018,  On the occasion of Children’s Day, Chandigarh Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) in collaboration with State Legal Services Authority (SLSA) U.T. Health Checkup Camp Organized by Health Department

Chandigarh, 11th November 2018: Health Department, Chandigarh Administration organised a mega health checkup camp under guidance of National Green Tribunal at Village Hallomajra today.  The Camp was inaugurated by Sh. Debendra Dalai IFS, Director Enviornment & Forest , UT Chandigarh in the presence of Dr G. Dewan ,Mission Director cum Director Health and Family Welfare  & other Senior Doctors. This area is thickly populated having around 25,000 (Twenty five thousand) population  in which health facilities were made available and services of  specialists from the fields of Medicine, Skin, ENT, Eye, Paediatrics, Gynaecology etc with AYUSH services of  Ayurvedic & Homeopathic Doctors were provided.
