More than Rs. 27 Lacs collected on first day of the camp

Chandigarh, 7 th June 2019 : There was huge rush for payment of dues in the first day of the camps for collection of outstanding dues. On first day of the camps, total collection of dues was more than Rs. 27 Lacs which is about Ten Times of the usual daily recovery. The camps will continue till 16.06.2019 (Sunday) between 08:00 a.m. to 01:00 p.m. on all days including Saturdays and Sundays in all the respective colonies where the small flats are located. The Chandigarh Housing Board has also issued notice for cancellation to some of the allottees of the above Small Flats but cancellation of allotment will be done after the camps if the allottees fail to clear dues even during the camps. All the allottees/licensees are requested to clear their outstanding dues to avoid cancellation of their flats. Special drive for collection of outstanding dues of small flats

Chandigarh, 6 th  June 2019:  Chandigarh Housing Board is launching a special drive for collection of outstanding dues by organizing a special camp at Govt Model High School Dhanas Colony from  07.06.2019 to 16.06.2019  between 08:00 a.m. to 01:00 p.m. on all days including Saturdays and Sundays. The allottees of small flats at Dhanas may deposit their dues in the camp. World No Tobacco day to be celebrated on 31st May, 2019

Chandigarh, 30 th May, 2019:: Health Department, UT Chandigarh is going to celebrate World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) on 31st May, 2019 throughout the city with the theme of “Tobacco and lung health”. The objective to celebrate this day is to raise awareness on the harmful and deadly effects of tobacco use and passive smoke exposure and to discourage the use of tobacco in any form. The ill effect of tobacco ranges from cancer to chronic respiratory diseases. Tobacco smoking is the primary cause for lung cancer, responsible for over two third of lung cancer deaths globally. Passive smoke exposure at home or in the work place also increases risk of lung cancer. Tobacco is a single most preventable cause of death in the world. Tobacco smoke is a very dangerous form of indoor air pollution; though smoke may be invisible it can linger in the air for up to five hours putting those exposed at risk of lung cancer, chronic respiratory diseases and reduced lung function. Chandigarh, 29 th  May 2019,  Chandigarh Commission for protection of child rights in collaboration with Education Department, UT, Chandigarh celebrated World No Tobacco day and international Children day by organizing Poster making, Slogan writing and Theatrical Competitions among school children of Chandigarh schools with the objective of sensitization and creating awareness on Child Abuses. The sensitization program is a deemed effort by Chandigarh Commission for protection of child rights towards child-friendly Chandigarh. In this sensitization program various Government and private schools across the city participated. Twenty six teams performed the productions on Drug Abuse, POCSO Sensitization and Child labor.
