‘Bicycling Activity’ in UT Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 13 th February, 2016: On the lines of Trekking in Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary every month, Forest & Wildlife Department has started ‘Bicycling Activity’ in UT Chandigarh every month to promote the bicycling activity amongst the public and to sensitize them about the need of the bicycling. Implementation of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)

Chandigarh, 11 February, 2016 :  The Department of Food & Supplies and Consumer Affairs & Legal Metrology, U. T., Chandigarh has implemented the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Scheme for foodgrains from the month of September, 2015.   The subsidy amount upto the month of February, 2016 has been released to the eligible households through their Aadhar seeded bank accounts, as per the entitlements. Presently, a total of 43,273   households with 1,88,074 units   (43,183 Priority Households and 90 AAY households) have been covered. Those eligible households who have any   queries related to transfer of subsidy amount into their   Aadhar seeded bank accounts can either visit their respective banks or can also check Aadhar linkage with their bank account by dialing   *99*99#   from their mobile number. Felicitation of Cadet Rigzen Dolker

Chandigarh, 11 February, 2016:  Adviser to the Administrator Sh. Vijay Dev, IAS, today felicitated Cadet Rigzen Dolker of NCC Girls Battalion, Chandigarh on getting selected for scaling Mount Everest expedition in April 2016. She would be representing the city along with 9 other cadets. Cadet Rigzen Dolker has completed her training at Siachen Glacier in the first week of February. Commenting on the occasion Adviser to the Administrator Sh. Vijay Dev, IAS, appreciated the efforts of Brig. M.G. Sekaran, SM, Group Commander NCC HQ Chandigarh in ensuring that Cadet Rigzen Dolker gets selected for the expedition.

Raid At Market Area Of Sector 15

Chandigarh, 11 February, 2016 : As per order of Sh. Prince Dhawan, IAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Central) a raid was conducted today at 05:00 PM at Market Area of Sector-15, Chandigarh under the supervision of Sh. Bhupesh Chaudhary, IAS, (P) Chandigarh and Inspecting Staff to seize the polythene bags used by the hawkers. A total of approximately 2 Quintal of polythene bags have been seized by the staff and the same have been handed over at Garbage Processing Plant, Sector-25, Chandigarh.  14 challans worth Rs. 500/- per head and 6 challans worth Rs. 5000/- has been charged on the spot.  This raid was conducted after intensive awareness campaign by the office of S.D.M. (Central). Scheme for financial assistance

Chandigarh, 10 th  February, 2016:  The Government of India has provided a scheme for providing financial assistance for undertaking various activities outlined in the persons with disability act. The details are available on the website of the department  www.disabilityaffairs.gov.in .  The scheme invites NGO/ interested agencies to associate with the department in providing skill development , training to PWD and other components of “Accessible India campaign” (Sugamya Bharat Adhyan). The scheme will provide grant-in-aid to the implementing agencies directly. The department is in the process of formulating the details. The interested parties / NGO’s are invited to go through the scheme and associate with the department for this cause. Regulation of the transfer of share/flats/dwelling units

Chandigarh, 10 th  February, 2016:  To protect the interests of bonafide members and prospective purchasers from any unwanted litigation, and streamline the procedure for the purpose,  following guidelines are hereby issued for regulating the transfer of share/flats/dwelling units in the Cooperative House Building Societies in Chandigarh:- 1.The Society has paid full premium of the site allotted to it and obtained NDC from the Estate Officer/Chandigarh Housing Board, as the case may be. 2. The Society had chunk of land allotted to it, transferred in its name, on freehold or leasehold as per the terms of allotment by executing the Deed of Conveyance or Lease Deed, as the case may be, on paying the prescribed stamp duty on actual amount paid to the Chandigarh Housing Board/ Chandigarh Administration, as consideration.  In case it has not been done, the Society shall get this done within a period of six months, in consultation with Estate Officer or Chandigarh...

Launch of 7th Alternative Medical Unit

Chandigarh, 10 th   February, 2016:   In an initiative of providing Medical Officers in all the villages of the city, the Department of Health in inter sectoral convergence with the Department of Rural Development has taken one more step of success ahead by launching 7 th   Alternative Medical Unit (AMU) in the city beautiful at Village Daria today. The dispensary was inaugurated by Sh. Vijay Dev, IAS Adviser to the Administrator in the presence of Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Health cum Home Secretary, Dr. V.K. Gagneja, Director-Health and other officers. Appreciating the initiative Sh. Vijay Dev, IAS.
