MASSIVE ANTI RABIES DRIVE IN RURAL AREAS OF CHANDIGARH

Chandigarh, 24 th  August, 2018:  The Department of Animal Husbandry U.T. Chandigarh has organized Massive Anti Rabies drive in the villages of U.T. Chandigarh in the last two months in coordination with Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals working under the Presidentship of Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, UT Chandigarh. These camps were held in village Sarangpur, Behlana, Daria, Raipur Khurd, Raipur Kalan, Makhan Majra, Mauli Jagran, Kishangarh, Khuda Alisher, Khuda Lahora, Kaimbwala from 30 th  May, 2018 to 24 th  August, 2018. During the camps 970 dogs were vaccinated free of cost against Rabies. On the eve of last camp at village Kaimbwala, Sh. Tejdeep Singh Saini, PCS, Director Animal Husbandry-cum-Vice President SPCA revealed that these camps were great success and proved to be very useful for livestock owners and Rural population. Checking/ Survey of Government House

Chandigarh, 24 th August, 2018: It has been observed that time and again complaints are being received in general that a number of Govt. houses are lying vacant at site, but not being included in Bid by the concerned authorities. Some houses are Sublette by its allottees to unauthorized person. Therefore, it has been decided by the Chandigarh Administration to make door to door checking/survey of all Government houses of each type w.e.f 1 st September, 2018 (between 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm) by checking/verifying their Aadhaar Card/e-mail address/date of birth/present designation and present place of posting etc. to ascertain the authenticity of the allottees. All the allottees of Government houses are requested to co-operate with the Checking/Survey teams of House Allotment Committee of Chandigarh Administration.

Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan (National Health Protection Mission) of U.T. Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 24th August, 2018: Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan (National Health Protection  Mission) is the Hon'ble Prime Minister's Flagship programme which will be  launched on 25th September, 2018. The AB-NHPM will provide Health Cover of up to Rs.5.00 Lakhs to  economically deprived families covered under SECC data for secondary and tertiary  care hospitalization. To promote the programme, a workshop was  held today at IMA complex, Sector-35 which was graced by the presence of Sh. Sachin Rana, IAS, ADC cum CEO, Ayushman Bharat, IMA members, representatives of govt. hospitals and stake holders Of private hospitals.  Dr.Vinod Verma, Consultant, NHPM, was the resource person from Govt. of India who addressed all the queries of the participants regarding the empanelment procedures and various other issues. Celebration of 72nd Independence Day in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 15 August, 2018:   The Chandigarh Administration today celebrated the 72nd Independence Day with thrill and glory at the Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh. The Governor of Punjab   and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore, was the chief guest of the occasion. The Administrator unfurled the National Flag and took salute from the various contingents of Police and NCC Cadets participating in the Independence Day Parade. Sh. V.P.
