5th State level Kala Utsav begins

Chandigarh, 19 November,2019.Chandigarh is celebrating the fifth State Level Kala Utsav -2019   which began today. It would be held till 22nd November 2019 at Bhavan Vidyalaya Sector 27,Chandigarh. In the cultural extravaganza, the Government /Government Aided/Private Schools are participating. In all, participants in different Art Forms in the category of Male & Female i.e. Music Vocal (33 participants), Music Instrumental (41 participants), Dance (37 participants) and Painting (58 participants) would be performing. The State level function was inaugurated by the Education Secretary, Mr.B.L. Sharma. Workshop on Electrochemical Techniques for Energy, Sensor, and Corrosion Techniques begins at CSIO

Chandigarh, 18thNovember, 2019.Inaugural session of Workshop on Electrochemical Techniques for Energy, Sensor, and Corrosion Techniques was held at CSIR - Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, Chandigarh today as part of its Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. The aim of this workshop is to familiarize young researchers/students with the advances of theoretical and experimental electrochemical technologies for applications in energy, sensor, and corrosion.   Prof. R. 65th NATIONAL SCHOOL GAMES OFF TO A GRAND START

Chandigarh, 18th November,2019 : The 65th National School Games in Baseball U-19 (Boys & Girls) commenced with the Opening Ceremony being conducted at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 37 B, Chandigarh today. The Games scheduled from 18.11.2019 to 23.11.2019 are being hosted by the Education Department, Chandigarh under the aegis of School Games Federation of India. Around 460 baseball players from 15 states across the nation are participating in the Games. The Chief Guest of the occasion Mr.Tejdeep Singh Saini, PCS, Director Sports, Chandigarh Administration was welcomed by the senior officials of the Education Department. 11th Chandigarh National Crafts Mela at Kalagram Chandigarh – 3rd Day

Chandigarh.17th November, 2019. The 11 th   Chandigarh National Crafts Mela at Kalagram received a tremendous response from tricity, today. As the Mela entered Day-3, shopoholics had an indulging time buying crafts and textiles.This year the North Zone Cultural Center has set-up 200 stalls given to the enthusiasm of tricity lovers. Apart from ethnic dresses, jewellery and juttis, the dried flowers from Nagaland, Brassware  and carpets from Uttar Pradesh, terracotta items from Rajasthan and wooden artefacts from Karnataka are stealing the visitor's attention. The stalls selling Pashmina and wollen shawls from Kashmir are quite popular. Education Department holds written test for NTT & Headmaster/ Headmistress posts

Chandigarh, 16th November 2019:The Education Department, UT Chandigarh today held written test for the Post of NTT and Headmaster   held at 14 Examination Centres in Government Schools of UT Chandigarh. It is worth mentioning that the UT Administration had advertised 131 posts of NTT for which 6052 applications were received. For 07 posts of Headmaster/Headmistress, 224 applications were received. The complete work related to the recruitment of NTT was assigned to NITTTR, Sector 26, Chandigarh.   Out of the 6052 candidates who had applied for NTT posts approx 3831 (64%) candidates appeared for written test. Further, 151 (68%) candidates took the test for the post of Headmasters. Jammers were also installed by BEL, Bio-metric attendance of the candidates was also taken.
